Businesses across the Midlands are celebrating this week after taking top accolades in a major awards event.
The Business Awards 2009, partnered by Phonebox, attracted 330 people to the refurbished Holte Suite at Villa Park on Friday. Supporters arriving at the prestigious venue were greeted by a number of lit vehicles in the car park, including a truck from sponsors P.G.S., a half-size Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter and a Lamborghini Nera supplied by Supernera, who had donated it as an auction prize for the weekend.
A spectacular stage set and fully decorated room greeted the diners at the black tie evening compered by Dave Ismay.
There were eleven categories of business vying for fourteen top awards at the event designed to recognise and encourage excellence across a range of business sectors in the Midlands area. The chosen charity for the evening was Midlands Air Ambulance and an auction and raffle raised £4000 for this well deserved cause.
